Day 8 in Israel

Sorry, this was a late post on my part. There wasn't much going on today except Yom Kippur, I decided to part take with the Jews during the day of atonement, and I can honestly say I was very blessed. I studied on my own Romans 6, and it just was a huge reminder that I, as a Christian, am dead to all sin. Another thing that i found during this time of fasting was Hebrews 2: 17-18 and it talks about Jesus being made like His brothers so that He could in a basic sense help us. So i was trying to think of a good example of this and I remembered our 1st day in Israel. What would you rather have a tour guild that is from Cali. that has only been in Jerusalem or would you rather have a older gentleman that has lived here his entire life; and knows the facts and dates. I would chose the 2nd, and that is what Christ is. Yet so much better then what we can ever imagine!

Class: Was very interesting because during the second half, there was a man in his 40's and was handicap. His name was chase and he had a hard time walking and gathering his thoughts. Chase was in a very bad car accident and damaged his brain. The wreck happened two weeks after he got married, and soon after she left him. He was explaining that he had been a Christian his entire life, and yet did not understand fully why he was in this state. He believes that he is going to be able to walk without a crutch and play the guitar. After class we all prayed for him... I can honestly say that i could feel the Spirit around us, and I also believe that if someone would of stood up and said "IN THE NAME OF JESUS RISE UP AND WALK!" it would of happened. Unfortunately no one did, I have been thinking about it all day. It's pretty crazy how much God has done in my life in these past 8 days. I honestly feel like a changed man, a man that has more faith, a man that is starting to understand his calling, and a man of compassion.

Evening:

A couple of us went to Ben Yehuda street and it was such a blessing to see a bunch of Koreans praising God almighty. They where not ashamed of Christ, of the Gospel. Because they were solely focused on God. I saw some Jew's were really blessed by what they saw! Oh also we got some really BOMB! ice-cream.

Students:

I'm really surprised how awesome all of the students are here. It's just not natural at all to get along so good. Ryan and Doug have been playing a lot of worship in the room, its pretty cool to come in and just worship God for 20 to 30 minutes everyday. Oh and I'm getting better on the ukulele (praise the Lord)!
